| A local Portland TV Station visited on Tuesday our first day of racing. They wanted to shoot the A-Cats on the water. Unfortunately, it was blowing 23-31 knots and no one volunteered. Lars Guck offered to take someone else's boat out for the cameras, but no one obliged him. Pete Melvin and Ken Marshack gave interviews. A lone Laser sailor braved the gusts for the cameras...he made the news that night!
